The West Should Decide: Iran or Turkiye?

We now know the imperialist aims of the USA and the West. The West’s interest in the East is not a commitment to human and democratic values, but oil and trade concerns. Therefore, from time to time, Western countries compete with each other for their interests in the East. This is why the USA, the European Union led by Germany, the UK and France, which still thinks it is a great state, do not have a common opinion.
In these days of nuclear negotiations with Iran, there is no consensus even in Western countries. There is only one goal: to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power. This is about Israel’s security. If there were such a threat to Turkey, NATO members would not think about Turkey’s security.
Those who look back a little can see that Germany has a great contribution to Iran’s technology investments as much as Russia.
Naturally, technological developments increase the welfare of a society. Like every country, Iran has to think about and develop the welfare of its people. But in doing so, it is unacceptable that it usurps the democratic rights of its own people, imposes a religious administration, and becomes a threat by pursuing dreams of expansion in the region. Every country must first strive for the happiness of its own people.
The USA and the West are now trying to control Iran and Iraq, which they supported with all their might in the past. In doing so, they have to fight Iran’s sectarian power in the region. The US and the West are indecisive and unsuccessful in their struggle against the Iranian administration. Because they do not have a strong support in the region with which they cooperate.
1. If they only accept Israel as an ally, they lose Arabs and Muslims.
2. If they only trust the Arabs, if all Arab countries gather also, they will not compete with Iran. This struggle is not just a matter of money and weapons. If it were, the Gulf Countries, the world’s finance source, would have already achieved this.
3. The U.S. and the West cannot trust also Turkey because they are afraid that the Turks will dominate the region again.

The US and the West, which do not trust Iran and Turkey, eventually included Russia in the Middle East game. If this indecision of the West continues, China will soon join the active players of the region. Because Israel is developing relations with China despite the opposition of the USA. After the Arab Spring, the USA and Western countries tried to oppose Iran with only with Arab countries. The result is a major failure and Iran has multiplied its power in the region. The Assad Administration, which the west could not decide whether it was a friend or an enemy, helped both Iran and Russia to settle in the region. The US and the West, who punished Lebanon while considering Israel’s security, led to the further strengthening of Hezbollah in Lebanon. When France could not establish the government it wanted in Lebanon, it imposed an embargo and led to the collapse of the economy.
In short, the Middle East policies implemented by the USA and Western countries after World War II did not bring peace to the region. On the contrary, it turned the whole region into a conflict zone. The United States had to withdraw from occupied Iraq. Even Gulf countries began to oppose US policies. In 20 years, the Gulf states will also begin to discuss the US military presence in their countries.
Its Ideological Purposes were important for the USA to become the world leader after World War II. The United States was a pro-Islamic, pro-democracy ally opposed to Russian imperialism and Communism. Now, it has become an unprincipled, inconsistent country that can cooperate with anyone, including terrorist organizations, for its own benefit. She supported military coups in Egypt, Libya and Turkey.
The USA and Western countries should care about democratic values in the Middle East, as they do in their own countries. Regardless of religion or sect, they should prioritize democracy and justice instead of dictators. In the internet age, every people will fight for their own democracy. The peoples of Iran and Turkey are modern and progressive people, regardless of who is in the administration. As long as the dictators in the Middle East do not receive support from the USA and the West.
Saudi Arabia’s Representative to the United Nations made a beautiful speech yesterday and said that “Assad declared victory over a pyramid of the skulls of his innocent people.” This is a clear and correct position. If the US and the West show a firm determination, the Assad administration will be overthrown. If the word is given to the peoples of the region, terrorist organizations and radical organizations will be excluded in a short time.
The best example in this regard is Lebanon. The Lebanese people, tired of long wars, made Beirut the Paris of the Arab world, despite their religious and sectarian differences. One day, the city of Damascus may also be a city of Peace in the hands of its free people.
