An important example of the fallacy of strategic foresight of the US about Turkey is Libya.

We know that the US Administration is based on the views of the Pentagon, the NSA and the CIA when setting its strategic goals. The US Administration is a long time in the wrong predictions about Turkey. Today’s mistakes can only be understood in the future. We want to give an important example about the wrong management of the US strategy on Turkey.

I watched the movie “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” on Amazon Prime, albeit a little late. Movie was not put on display in Turkey before. With Amazon Prime, the Turkish audience can watch this movie nowadays.

If we had watched the film in 2016, when it was released, we would have thought that the events described in the film reflect the truth one hundred percent. Likewise when the event occurred, we hadn’t been knowing that Russian Ambassador killed by FETO Terrorist Organization which was control under CIA. But it is a fact that we also know that the history of the CIA, which has been turned into a legend with movies, is full of hundreds of mistakes.

The 13 Hours film is briefly about “the assassination of the US Ambassador to Libya by the rebels while he was in Benghazi during the civil war in Libya.” According to the film, the US Consulate and CIA Station were protected by 6 CIA hero guards. this events occurred on September 12, 2012 and over a decade has passed. During this time, many facts emerged about the US strategy about Turkey.

The most strategically important part of the movie is as follows: We clearly see that one of the rebel leaders in Benghazi was wearing a T-shirt with a Turkish flag on it. As such, the address of the message given in the movie is also revealed. We can guess that the financier of the feature film, which was prepared with a budget of 50 million dollars, is the CIA. Before the collapse of the Soviets and the Islamic Revolution in Iran, the USA and the CIA, which supported Islamist groups in the Greater Middle East, started to show Islamist groups as enemies after 1989. Al-Qaeda, which sprouted in those days, and the latest Daish Terrorist Organizations were also the actors of this hostility.

In the between 1990-2010, the US and Soros was supporting political Islamist groups from Morocco and Tunisia to Egypt and Turkey. When started the Arab Spring in 2011, these groups that came to power through democratic elections was determined enemy by the US. Morsi, for which Soros had donated $ 2 billion, was overthrown by a military coup. Also FETO Terrorist Organization caried out a military coup against the AKP government in Turkey.

In all my articles, I always insist that the United States is pursuing a Threatening Strategy. The USA first supports all the targets it wants to destroy and enlarges the threat, then comes to settle in the region to eliminate this threat. Or we can say it like this: The USA first sets a wrong strategy, then when it turns out that this strategy is wrong, it carries out bigger military operations to fix it. As in the case of Iraq, the US saw its wrong after thousands of soldiers died.

Saddam moved to power to fight Khomeini after 6 meetings with the CIA in Cairo. When the Iran-Iraq War ended, Saddam was purged. In Libya, Gaddafi struggled to stay in power by cooperating with Western countries and the USA, but on October 20, 2011, he was lynched by his own people.

I guess that many short summaries and examples are enough.

In 13 Hour movie was shown that Turkey was supporting the all political Islamist groups in Libya. Also today, Turkey is showed in same way. It is right that Turkey had an important political presence in Libya but not in this Benghazi, was in Tripoli and Misrata. Whereas, Benghazi was a goal field that coveted by international oil companies after Gaddafi. France, which was experienced in African colonialism, and Russia, dying to settle in the region, were the biggest political partners of these companies. As a matter of fact, years have passed since the incident described in the film, France, Russia and Petroleum companies were deployed in Benghazi and occupied the oil-rich East Libya. Turkey, after blocking the coup attempted by FETO Terrorist Organization, came to the region. Turkey reinforced its political and military relations and presence with legal Libya Government in Libya and Misrata. Turkey took a strategic step about Libya and signed the Sea Field Sharing Agreement with legal government against French and Russian mercenaries.

Sometimes it takes years for the fog to dissipate and the truth to be understood.

Let’s go back to the plot of the movie. The success of the 6 CIA members who led the defense in Benghazi is undeniable. Already the movie was made in memory of these 6 people. I believe it was funded by Brennan, who was brought in to clean up dirty works of the Petraeus and Panetta era. Let’s not forget that Brennan has covered most of the CIA’s dirty laundry – full of torture and assassinations. All of the CIA Staff, for whom the film was made in memory and someone died in the conflict, resigned from the CIA after this incident and stepped aside.

I suggest also you watch “The Report” about the biggest mistakes of the CIA and Pentagon in recent years.
