The Ukrainian – Russian War is over!

I published some maps regarding the historical development of the most important wars in the Middle East (Syria, Iraq, Libya). After Russia started to invade Ukraine at the beginning of 2022, I decided to prepare a book on this subject.
Since the beginning of the Ukrainian War, I have prepared maps sometimes daily and sometimes every other day in parallel with the developing conflicts. In 2022, Ukraine managed to regain some of its occupied territory. To summarize briefly; In the first 6 months of 2022, the Ukrainian Army was very successful. In the second 6 months of 2022, the Russian Army began to recover. From the beginning of 2023, the war has stabilized with neither side making significant progress.

Many factors played a role in the success of the first period, and we can list the most important ones under brief headings as follows:

1. The success of the USA and the Western world in directing world public opinion against the Russian occupation.
2. The Ukrainian Army was trained by NATO for a long time before the war.
3. The cumbersome structure of the Russian Army and the lack of training of the soldiers sent to the front.
4. The high desire of the Ukrainian people and army to fight and fight in the first years of the war.

After entering the year 2023, there was a deadlock in the Ukrainian War. The parties could not achieve any significant mutual success. Moreover, despite the increase in arms support from the USA and Western countries in 2023, Russia managed to establish balance in the war. We can summarize the most important factors affecting this process as follows:

1. The Ukrainian Army begins to tire and the Ukrainian people’s participation in the war at home and abroad decreases.
2. Wagner groups conducting urban warfare and training the army on the Russian fronts.
3. Russia’s use of long-range missiles against the advanced weapons provided by the USA.
4. Zelensky’s adoption of a war of attrition entirely in line with US interests and closing the door to peace talks.
5. Russia reaching the desired borders in the regions south of the Dnieper River, including Luhansk and Donetsk, and giving up the major occupation.

As we approach the end of 2023, as an expert who follows the issue very closely, I can say this: The Ukrainian War is practically over. Although the USA does not give up its aim of prolonging this war and weakening Russia, both the USA and the European public are tired of the large military and financial aid provided to Ukraine.
There is another important issue that perhaps brought the Ukrainian-Russian War to the point of ending it once and for all. Israel – Hamas War. This war has consequences that will affect not only the Ukrainian War, but also all military and political balances in the Middle East and the world. It is possible to summarize these results under small headings as follows:

1. Iran, the biggest logistical supporter of Hamas, and Russia, the most important power behind it, have shifted the US-Western aggression against them to the Middle East.
2. Despite the war, Russia increased its energy export revenues to 550 Billion Euros, of which 180 Billion Euros were obtained from European Union countries. It is difficult for the USA, England and Germany to support the Ukraine war for a longer period of time despite these high financial resources.
3. It is a great event that Western countries, especially the USA, England and Germany, remain silent and support the Netanyahu government’s massacres in Gaza. The psychological public support given to Ukraine by the Islamic world, as well as South American, African and Eastern countries, has ended. Democracy and human rights trust in European countries such as the USA, England, Germany and France has been reset. The Gaza war may lead to a new wave of Arab Spring against the governments of some Arab countries that have reached the line of detente with Israel. This situation is even more important than the interests of the USA and the West in the Ukraine war. International world balances have been radically shaken.

Experts analyze and draw conclusions, but political powers often ignore them. Although the conflicts will continue, I am publishing this study because the Ukrainian – Russian War is over for us.
