Abdullah Manaz was born in Yozgat’s Yerköy district in 1958. He graduated from Ankara Mamak high school in 1978 and from Theology Faculty of Ankara University in 1984. In 1990, he became a doctor of Islamic Philosophy in Institute of Social Sciences of Ankara University. His Doctorate Thesis was about Role of Wisdom about Understanding Quran.

He started journalism after 1978 and his some news and cartoons were published in national newspapers. He entered to TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Corporation) as producer in 1984. He has made hundreds program’s production and direction until this day. He received various awards in 1985, 1986 and 1994 with his programs. In 1987, he studied Arabic language for a period of one year in Syria. He made researching several times in Northen Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Iran and the European countries.

He gave lectures about “Program Production on TV” at Faculty of Communication of Ege University between 1995 and 1998. He was president of “National unity and Strategy Foundation” in 2003 and 2004. He has participated to national and international conferences and has presented papers. He retired from TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Corporation) while working as Strategic Expert in December 2011. He speaks Arabic and English.
